The Heiserman H47 tube has been gaining attention for several years as the premium U47 tube mic copy to own.

It’s widely known that no two original U47 mics sound exactly the same. However, Heiserman have dedicated their efforts towards the maximum authenticity to the original mics possible.
The tube used is an EF8xx series tube, which represents the best possible alternative to the original VF14 tube. The original VF14 tube has become so rare and expensive that it is no longer a viable option for anyone who values the use-ability and affordability of the mic.
This is where Heiserman have wisely decided to make a microphone that sounds just like a very, very good U47 but is still affordable to whoever would need a U47 copy that they can use daily.
The attention to detail also applies to the mic accessories such as important cable/connector construction and reliability. Even the case design offers excellent utility with a good looking design.
The 2 capsule variants for the H47tube can be ordered in separate head baskets.
The head baskets are inter-changeable.This offers the rare ability to have an incredible choice between the HK47 capsule and the HM7 capsule.
The HK47 is recommended as the most likely to be an all round first choice due to its higher sensitivity, presence and extended high end.
The HM7 is accurate to the original classic M7 capsule and it’s lower sensitivity and mellower high end can be perfect for many sources. For example, sibilant vocalists and brighter guitar amps.
